Among health complaints, the headache is one of the most common. There are two frequent causes of head pain: dehydration and tension. Did you know that most of the time when someone takes a Tylenol for a headache, it isn’t the pill that fixed the problem? What helps is the water you wash it down with. First thing I reach for when I have a headache is a simple glass of water.
I recently had a headache that just wouldn’t budge. I hadn’t had one all day like that in a long time. I was miserable and drinking tons of water with no relief. Later in the day, I thankfully remembered about my Tension Tamer roll on. This has become a must-have in my home. It works and fast and smells wonderful. If the pain is caused by tension or congestion, the essential oils in this product will clear it up quick.
I found my bottle of Tension Tamer and liberally rolled it on my wrists, forehead, temples, and the tip of my nose. I sunk into my recliner and closed my eyes. As I held the bottle up to my nose for an extra strong scent, I took slow, deep breaths and tried to relax my body. My headache was gone in less than five minutes. I felt so refreshed. And although I wasn’t exactly congested before, I was breathing better. What a relief!
With moisturizing jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, and grape seed oil to dilute the essential oils of eucalyptus, peppermint, and wintergreen, this combination packs quite a punch to reduce pain, relieve tension, and combat headaches while relaxing nerves and easing congestion. It’s great for children, too, as it contains absolutely no parabens, petroleum, or artificial fragrances or preservatives. Feel free to use as often as desired. It is a wonderful aromatherapy experience that you can take with your anywhere you go. Also try the Liquid Sunshine roll-on to add a little cheer to your rainy day. Made with essential oils of lavender, rosemary, and sweet orange for an uplifting aromatherapy experience.
Herbs Are Easy
It is amazing how easy herbalism can be, even with the huge amount of herbs available. It can be very overwhelming. Just remember, you don’t have to learn like you are in a classroom and will be tested. No need for boring memorization. When you use an herb and it works, you will always remember it. If you have a bee sting and find relief with plantain, you will remember plantain works on bee stings. It is that simple!
Anyone wanting to expand their knowledge can of course do so. We are so blessed to have such a great resource as the Internet. You can compare the thoughts of several herbalists in the matter of mere minutes.
Sure, it is going to take time to learn a long list of herbs and their uses, but that is the way learning goes and it is so much better to learn by experience than by trying to remember every little detail all at once.
I remember one of my first encounters with an herb. It was many years ago. I must admit that I was overwhelmed by the many choices and combinations found in herbal teas and tinctures that you can buy ready-made. It all seemed so complicated and I found myself trying to memorize herbs and their uses from lists I found in a book. That didn’t work.
But now it is many years later and without trying to memorize a thing, I can go through that very same book and know at least one use for every herb in it. I now use that book simply as a reference — a book to jog my memory when “oh, I know an herb that will help with that, but what was it’s name again.” Every time I do that it is a learning experience and I take away more knowledge about an herb than I had before, even if I had been using the herb for years. This generates more experience and more confidence in my ability and also an awe for the power of the God-given herb.
You will have trouble remembering every vitamin contained in nettles and everything you can use peppermint for. You need to take it one day at a time, one herb, one illness, one need at a time. Here a little and there a little, you will learn. Before you know it, you’ll be giving advice to all your friends on how to use herbs in their lives. This way of learning is tried and true by many and a big reason I provide an herb of the month. I could write many pages on just one herb, but it can be hard to remember it all. With the herb of the month, you can learn a little at a time, test out the herb, then come back to it later if you want to learn more. If there is an herb you want to learn about, write me and I will feature it in herb of the month.
